Pump Storage Hydro Power(PSH)
Sri Lanka’s clean energy transformation requires not only generating renewable power but storing it efficiently. The Power Pumped Storage initiative by SSV pioneers this effort using gravity-based hydro storage to capture surplus solar and wind energy generated during off-peak hours, then releasing it when demand rises. This technology strengthens grid resilience, reduces reliance on imported fossil fuels, and ensures uninterrupted access to clean, affordable electricity.
Developed with the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) and global renewable partners, this project exemplifies innovation and national collaboration. Beyond energy, it drives local employment, technical training, and investment in green infrastructure across rural regions.
